Historic Mill Catches Fire

Last night at approximately 2300 hours NMFC was dispatched to a Barn/Apartment Building Fire in the 100 Block of Butcher Hill Road by Children’s Lake. During dispatch, the box was quickly upgraded to a working structure box. Headquarters advised that a fire started in the back porch and fire was spreading tothe top of the building. As command arrived on scene with a working fire the box was upgraded 2 more times to a 2nd Alarm Apartment Building Fire. Snowblower Catches Fire before Snowstorm

Yesterday Evening before the snow started at approximately 1300 hours. NMFC, Carlisle Fire & Rescue Services, and Union Fire Company were dispatched to a Mobile Home Fire endangering a house in the area of 1150 Longs Gap Road. Before arriving on the scene additional details were given that a snowblower was on fire in a car port. Upon arrival on the scene the owner pushed the snowblower out to the end of the driveway were it was clear of any exposures catching on fire. Small Chicken Coop Fire

Yesterday evening at approximately 1810 hours NMFC, Carlisle Fire & Rescue Services, and Union Fire Company were dispatched to the 900 block of Enola Rd for a Chicken Coop Fire. Headquarters advised of a Chicken Coop approximately 12 by 8 on fire. Upon arrival Engine139, light smoke could be scene from the back of the residence. Engine139 stretched a line to the back of the residence where the fire was put out by the homeowner. The box was reduced and Hotspots were extinguished. Units went available approximately 30 minutes later.  

NMFC responds to a possible house fire in Middlesex Township

Today at approximately 1300 hours Truck39 responded to the 20 block of Circle Dr in Middlesex for a possible house fire. Chief 7 reported a large column in the area of the scene and the box was upgraded to a working fire box adding Engine239. As Chief 7 arrived on scene he advised of a shed to the rear that was fully involved. Due to the wind conditions and the fire It caused some of the siding to melt at the corner of the house the shed was on.
