On August 20, 2018, shortly after 7:00 a.m., North Middleton Fire Company 39, along with Fire Companies from Carlisle Fire & Rescue, Union, Carlisle Barracks, New Kingstown, Mt Holly, Shermans Dale and Cumberland Goodwill EMS responded to a 2nd Alarm Fire with possible entrapment.
Heavy fire was showing from mobile home upon arrival – three occupants (2 adults & 1 child) were out of the mobile home upon arrival. The fire was under control within 20 minutes. All three occupants and two good Samaritans who notified the occupants of the fire were transported to the hospital to be checked for smoke inhalation.
