Yesterday evening at approximately 15:00 hours Engine239 was dispatched to a Working House Fire in the 100 block of Oxford Road in South Middleton Township. Engine239 arrived on the scene and sent manpower forward to help with an extensive overhaul. Multiple units were on the scene with the heat and also needing a water supply source as no hydrants are in this area. Engine239 was on the scene for approximately 3 hours before going available. Yesterday evening at approximately 1800 hours Engine 239 was dispatched to the 10 Block of Wild Rose Lane in Silver Spring Township for a House Fire. Engine 239 arrived on the scene and supplied water while manpower went up to the scene and assisted with overhaul. Crews were on the scene for approximately 2 hours before going available.
Over the weekend members from NMFC and Cumberland Valley IAFF F-109 took part in a two-part class in Engine Company Operations. Members learned different tactics when using hand lines as well as life-saving measures.
Truck 39 Refurbishment Update #3. Truck39 is out of paint and ready to go onto the next stage in the process of rust protection, Fixing the stabilization arms as they sag and a few other odds and ends. There is a lot left to do but we are confident it will be done and put in service in the next few months or so.
Yesterday morning at approximately 1000 hours Engine239 and Utility39 were dispatched to the first block of E High Street for a Structure Fire. Units arrived on the scene and assisted with manpower operations and overhaul before going available approximately 2 hours later. Original call from headquarters was for a fire alarm before being upgraded to a working fire. Multiple residents were treated for smoke inhalation due to the event. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
Today at approximately 1400 hours Engine239 was dispatched to the area of Shady Lane/Claremont Rd in Middlesex Twp. For a Backhoe on Fire. PD arrived on scene confirming dispatch and Chief 7 arrived on the scene with a working fire. Crews spent approximately 30 minutes on scene before going available.

Truck 39 Update Number 2. Members today went and visited the truck before going in to get repainted. Over the past few weeks, the diamond plate was restored and new wiring was run in areas that didn’t need it before for led portable lighting and a few other things.
Truck 39 refurbishment update number 1. Truck 39 was outfitted with new LEDs all around and rust prevention was done on the frame. Rust was also taken off all external pieces before it goes into getting repainted in the next couple of weeks. So far progress is on track without too many hiccups.
Today at approximately 14:00 hours NMFC was dispatched Mutual Aide to the 100 block of Sherby Lane in Perry County for a House Fire for Manpower and Tanker Operations. Firefighters had a difficult time putting out the fire due to the wind which caused additional manpower pulls from numerous companies from around the area. Crews were on the scene for approximately 3 hours before going available.
