6 March 2019 – Mutual Aid to Shermans Dale Fire Company, Perry County for a Fully Involved House Fire

At 2:00 PM on March 6, 2019 E-139, E-239 and Truck 39 assisted Shermans Dale Fire Company, along with apparatus and personnel from several other Perry County Fire Companies, on a house fire in the 4700 block of Spring Road. The construction and contents of the home, which was destroyed, presented a number of challenges. The last of Company 39’s units went available at approximately 5:30 PM. 

2 March 2019 – Car Fire, 600 Block of North Middleton Rd, North Middleton Township

On 2 March, Company 39 was dispatched to a car fire in the 600 block of North Middleton Rd in North Middleton Township. Upon arrival of Chief 139 and several North Middleton Firefighters, the fire was found to be mostly extinguished by local residents with a personal fire extinguisher. Chief 139 held Engine 139 with a crew of 4, who used a PW can to finish extinguishing the fire, check for extension and disconnect the vehicles battery. All units were put available within 30 minutes of arrival.

8 February 2019, 4:39 pm, Second Alarm Structure Fire, West View, North Middleton Township.

On 8 Feb, at 4:39 p.m, North Middleton Township, Hampden, New Kingstown, Shermans Dale, Citizen-Mount Holly, Carlisle Barracks, North Middleton, Union, Carlisle Fire & Rescue were dispatched to a second-alarm structure fire on West View in North Middleton Township. Upon arrival Company 39 personnel found the seat of the fire in the basement, with light extension into the kitchen and front walls of the house. 90 percent of the fire was in a small area of the basement and controlled quickly with a hand line from Engine 239. August 20, 2018 – Mobile Home Fire – Hidden Noll Road, North Middleton TWP

On August 20, 2018, shortly after 7:00 a.m., North Middleton Fire Company 39, along with Fire Companies from Carlisle Fire & Rescue, Union, Carlisle Barracks, New Kingstown, Mt Holly, Shermans Dale and Cumberland Goodwill EMS responded to a 2nd Alarm Fire with possible entrapment. Heavy fire was showing from mobile home upon arrival – three occupants (2 adults & 1 child) were out of the mobile home upon arrival. The fire was under control within 20 minutes. All three occupants and two good Samaritans who notified the occupants of the fire were transported to the hospital to be checked for smoke inhalation.

August 21, 2018 – Waggoners Gap Rd, North Mountain – Bird Watching Platform Fire

On August 21, 2018, around 4:00 pm, North Middleton Fire Company 39, along with Carlisle Fire & Rescue, Union, Upper Frankford, West Pennsboro, New Kingstown, Mt Holly, Landisburg, Shermans Dale and Cumberland Goodwill EMS were dispatched to a bird watching platform fire on the top of Waggoners Gap Road. Upon arrival, they found a fully involved fire. Fire attack was difficult since the platform was over the side of the top of the mountain. Crews were able to contain the fire to the platform.
